Operating Overview

POLARION is a fully automated computer-controlled system designed for fluorescence polarization and standard fluorescence intensity applications. A Xenon flash-lamp is used as an excitation source. High quality optical components and a low noise PMT provide best sensitivity for each measurement mode. The polarizers are implemented in a motordriven computer-controlled slide for fast operation. The filters for excitation and emission are mounted on separate slides which are easily accessible from the front of the instrument. Each filter slide can hold up to four filters and values for a total of 8 slides can be stored.
